Palmer was a gifted pass catcher with great hands and speed. He was also a good blocker and could help the Crimson Tide in the running game.
After his college career, Palmer played in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
